My desk is only wide enough for a laptop, lamp, and notebook, so I avoid accessories that need permanent space. This sleeve stays under the laptop as a stand during the day and becomes storage when I finish work.
I use this inside a canvas tote rather than carrying it alone. The structured leather prevents everyday scuffs and the close fit means it does not steal much room from notebooks. Once I arrive, the folded sleeve gives the laptop a more comfortable angle. It is a practical combination for my commute.
I took the 13-inch Air version on two overnight work trips. It went through airport security easily because there is no zipper and the laptop slides out in one motion. On a cramped hotel desk, the stand kept the computer above the uneven surface and created enough room underneath for airflow.
I use a separate keyboard and mouse when editing photos, so raising the laptop screen is more important to me than the direct typing angle. The folded sleeve provides enough height to reduce the amount I look down, and it takes far less room than the stand I used before.

The sleeve does two jobs well and looks appropriate in a professional setting. My only frustration is carrying the charger separately because there is no pocket. I understand that a pocket would interrupt the slim silhouette.
